Donegal Bay

We arrived on Beaver Island via the Beaver Island Boat Company ferry early morning, with a few hours to kill before we could check in to our cabin. So we hopped into our rental car and drove all the way around the island.

Along the way we reached Donegal Bay and its pristine beach on the northwest side of the island. Beautiful blue, sandy-bottomed water stretched out forever, broken only by a couple of other smaller islands on the horizon. It was looking like a pretty good start to our weekend on the island.

But then again, we didn't find any snakes at Donegal Bay. Those came a little while later.
