Freedom Hill Amphitheater

First-ever visit to Freedom Hill Amphitheater (Michigan Lottery Amphitheater at Freedom Hill) was to see Counting Crows. Great venue, similar to Pine Knob but half the size. Great evening.

Stumbling across the Blue Sky Brewery & Aeronatique Winery in the Irish Hills was a great find, and not just because of this bar top, which is a wing from an airplane that crashed in Colorado. They've got good grub, a nice selection of beers and wines, and a huge outdoor patio that hosts live music.

Gold Star Bar

Our celebration of Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary took us to the Gold Star Bar, the self-proclaimed oldest bar in Wyandotte. It was a quick visit, but a fun place we'll have to get back to sometime.
